Melinda Merson: November 26 - Member of the Month

Congratulations to Melinda Merson our November Member of the Month.

Mel has been a member of KTL for nearly three years and has worked consistently to improve her strength, flexibility, and overall wellbeing over this time. She began her journey with our Outdoor Group Sessions before transitioning to the 6am Studio Sessions; taking advantage of the early morning sessions to prioritise her health in advance of the demands of her busy workdays.

Mel's consistency, positive attitude, and willingness to put in the hard work have led to fantastic progress. She shows up, stays focused, and continually gives her best effort, qualities that have been instrumental in her ongoing success.

Congratulations Mel on being our November Member of the Month. You are an absolute pleasure to train and truly deserving this recognition. Well done!

Over to you Mel:

1. What motivated you to start your health and fitness journey with Key to Life?

I needed to prioritise my health and rebuild my flexibility, strength, and stamina so I could continue enjoying travel, manage the demands of daily life, and perform effectively at work.

2. What is it that keeps you attending your Key To Life session or sessions on a regular basis?

It gets me moving, even on days when simply walking through the gym door feels like an achievement, and it helps keep me motivated.

I particularly enjoy the small-group environment, the supportive company, and the absence of ear-splitting music at 6 a.m.

3. What is your favourite Key to Life Training session or favourite exercise and why?

Weighted glute bridges and the six other variations of this exercise that our trainer Renee introduces:

Why: 'To wake up my sleepy glutes" :).

4. If you use any Key To Life recipes, what is your favourite?

Thai Chicken meatballs is one of my favs and helps me to refuel after a busy day.

5. What is your biggest accomplishment you have achieved during your time with us at Key to Life?

Getting back into my class routine after being away for 5 week stretches of work and travel multiple times a year.

6. What advice would you give somebody just starting at Key to Life?

Try a bit of everything to get started and find what works for you. Boxing, Pilates, Outdoor Group Sessions. Mixing up the classes keeps things fun and fresh and allows you to find the perfect fit for you.
